Jaguar XJS V12

The original XJ-S was built off the existing XJ saloon platform and marked by its remarkable rear buttresses. Drawing on advanced aerodynamic principles, Malcolm Sayer—a renowned Jaguar aerodynamicist—contributed to the vehicle's early design; unfortunately, he passed away in 1970 before it could be finalised.

When Ford acquired Jaguar in 1991, numerous modifications were made to the car's exterior and interior features, along with a new name: simply XJS––losing the hyphen of previous iterations. The Ford-manufactured model ran until 1996 when production finally ceased.
